March 2012

March was a fun month, the weather was beautiful which gave us plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors which we took full advantage of!  If we weren't at the park, or on family bike rides, we were in the back yard playing real sports, made up sports, you name it!  A new found favorite of the boys is baseball, they have been outside every night with dad practicing their swing!  We're still working on the whole run the bases concept, esp. Wy, every time we tell him to run to the base he runs over to it, picks it up, and brings it to us!  So it's a work in progress but its so fun to watch them learn and have fun!

St. Patricks Day
When Noah woke up on St. Patrick's Day I told him what day it was and the tradition of wearing green and such and confused he asked me what St. Patrick's Day was all about.  Well I didn't really know so for the first time in my 28 yrs of living I looked up what started St. Patricks' Day (SPD).  It was cool to finally figure it out and it gave the day a bit more meaning so thank you Noah asking!  It was no trouble getting Noah to wear green, in fact he wore green from head to toe, I think even his underwear had some green on them:) He was a lean green machine!  We started off the day with green pancakes...it took some time to convince them they wouldn't taste weird but after reminding them about the book Green Eggs and Ham they decided to give them a try and they liked them!  Later that day we had fun with our friends making lucky clover sugar cookies, thank you Ireland for giving us a fun holiday of Green!

Wyatt basking in the Sun...with his bum stuck in a big dirt hole:)
I took this picture of Noah not only to capture his excellent choice in literature but to have record of his poor little face after a long board accident:(  Adam had only had his board for two days and was out on his first spin when we stopped to see some friends at the park.  While we were chatting and the kids were playing Noah started playing on the long board, kind of scooting on it on all fours when he suddenly hit a crack and the momentum sent him forward scrapping his face on the rough surface of the board!  It bled so much and he was so sad and scared, poor guy!

My first attempt at making bread bowls...beginners luck but I'll take it they were delicious!
Me at six months pregnant...feeling great so far!

Happy Birthday Dad!  Today dad turned 30 yrs old and we  had a lot of fun celebrating him on his big day!  I wanted to throw him a big party but to him the best birthdays are ones spent with family...one of the things I love about him:)  He doesn't make a big deal about age or parties or being the center of attention, to him age is just a number...isn't he awesome?  So the boys and I worked together to make sure he had a nice birthday his way, we made him baked ziti, his favorite meal, and a two layer funfetti cake with extra frosting!  The boys had a blast being in charge of the cake and it turned out delicious:)  We are so blessed to have a great dad like Adam and feel grateful to our Heavenly Father for the another year of wonderful memories with him and we hope to see many more!  Love you Babe!
